OpenCV Tutorial Chapter 2 Section 1 reading notes

So I read the 5 pages long section 1.  The first thing that surprises me most is that there are many more typo mistakes than I expected, ...

I feel lucky that I seem to learn this OpenCV in a good time.  OpenCV only started in 2001, with CV1 using C and CV2 (2009) C++.  It appears that Python may also mature in CV2.

Anyway, the first section mainly on Mat is more or less clear to me.  I appreciate about 90% of the things discussed, except the boring details about syntax.
